Jackson signed a two-year deal with the Alouettes on Thursday, Herb Zurkowsky of the Montreal Gazette reports.

Jackson was considered to be the top-ranked player in the 2017 free agent pool, making this a primetime signing for Montreal. The sixth-year wideout was seventh in the league in receiving last season, compiling 88 receptions for 1225 yards and 10 touchdowns. His defining moment of the season, however, was an overtime touchdown catch that won the Grey Cup for his former team, the Ottawa Redblacks. Jackson will look to carry that momentum into the oncoming 2017 season, where he should yet again be one of the top receivers in the CFL.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson totaled 96 yards and scored what turned out to be the game-winning touchdown on six catches in Sunday's 39-33 Grey Cup overtime victory over the Stamps.

Jackson capped off his career season in spectacular fashion, making a 19-yard juggling touchdown reception in overtime that turned out to be the game winner. The 30-year-old seems to only be getting better with age, as he's now posted back-to-back campaigns with 80-plus catches and over 1,000 yards receiving. Jackson developed into the most trusted Redblacks receiver after Chris Williams went down with a knee injury midway through the season, and he figures to once again be a vital cog in 2017 as Ottawa looks to defend its first championship in 40 years.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson totaled 71 yards on four receptions in Sunday's 35-23 Eastern Finals win over the Eskimos.

The slotback was tied with Juron Criner for most catches on the Redblacks, while also posting the second-highest yardage total. Jackson posted career bests in receptions (88), yardage (1,225) and touchdowns (10) in 2016, making him one of Henry Burris' most trusted targets heading into next week's Grey Cup showdown against the Stamps.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson will line up as a starting slotback in Sunday's Eastern Final matchup with the Eskimos.

Jackson was rested in the Redblacks' regular season finale two weeks ago, but he will be back in action Sunday and will likely be Ottawa's top receiving option as the team looks to secure a spot in the Grey Cup.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson is not on the depth chart for Friday's game against the Blue Bombers.

Jackson has stepped up in the absence of top receiver Chris Williams (knee), averaging over 100 yards per game over the last three weeks, but he will be held out of Week 20 with the Redblacks deciding to rest many starters in advance of the postseason. Fellow starting slotbacks Greg Ellingson and Brad Sinopoli will also sit out Friday, leaving Khalil Paden, Jake Harty, and John Harris to work as the starters at that position for a week.

October 30, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson caught six passes for 99 yards in Saturday's win over the Blue Bombers.

He just missed his third straight 100-yard receiving day as Jackson continues his impressive finish to the regular season, catching at least five passes in six straight games. He's already set career highs in receptions, yards and TDs, and will get one more chance to pad those total Friday at home in a rematch against Winnipeg.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson totaled 102 yards and two touchdowns on 10 catches in Friday's 39-36 overtime loss to the Redblacks.

The veteran once again stepped up in the absence of Chris Williams (knee), who is out for the remainder of the season. Jackson hauled in a picture-perfect back-shoulder fade in the first quarter and was able to connect with Henry Burris again for another touchdown later in the contest. The 30-year-old now has back-to-back 100-yard efforts and three touchdowns over that span, and has hit the century mark in three of the last four games overall.

October 15, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson totaled 106 yards and a touchdown on five catches in Friday's 30-29 victory over the Ti-Cats.

The veteran slotback made a spectacular juggling touchdown catch of a Henry Burris bomb in the third quarter, giving the Redblacks a 26-21 lead at the time. Jackson will be a focal point of the Ottawa attack going forward with Chris Williams (knee) sidelined for the balance of the campaign, and now has two 100-yard outings in his last three contests, along with a career-high eight touchdowns this season.

October 13, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson (undisclosed) is listed as a starting slotback on the depth chart for Friday's game against the Tiger-Cats.

Jackson missed practice earlier this week with an undisclosed injury, but his inclusion on the depth chart for Friday's contest indicates he will suit up as usual for Week 16. Jackson has been hit or miss since scoring in six straight games between Weeks 6-13, but he could be counted on for more moving forward with top receiver Chris Williams (knee) out for the season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson did not practice Monday due to an undisclosed injury, Tim Baines of the Ottawa Sun reports.

It's not clear what type of setback Jackson is dealing with, but it leaves him questionable for the Redblacks' next game Friday against the Tiger-Cats.

October 2, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson totaled 122 yards on six catches in Saturday's 40-33 loss to the Lions.

The veteran posted his first 100-yard performance since Week 11 and third overall on the season. Jackson has served as the top target in the Redblacks' high-powered offense on several occasions this season, but Chris Williams reclaimed the No. 1 receiver mantle Saturday in terms of yardage, at least for the week. Jackson remains on pace to exceed his career-best of 1,036 yards, needing 165 yards to eclipse the total.

September 18, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson totaled 93 yards and a touchdown on four catches in Saturday's 48-23 loss to the Stamps.

Make it six straight games with a touchdown for the veteran, who also came just short of posting a 100-yard performance for the third time over the past four weeks. Jackson has emerged as a vital part of the Redblacks' normally prolific passing attack, particularly on days when the speedy Chris Williams is contained.

September 2, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson totaled 109 yards and a touchdown on five receptions in Thursday's 19-14 victory over the Als. He also gained three yards on his sole rush.

The veteran wideout now has touchdowns in five straight and 100-yard performances in two of his last three games as well. Jackson was on the receiving end of Trevor Harris' only touchdown pass of the day Thursday, a 31-yard strike in the third quarter. His six trips to the end zone in 2016 are a new career high, and all indications are he'll continue to be an integral part of the Redblacks' attack for the balance of the season.

August 26, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson caught three passes for 41 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's loss to the Lions.

The switch at quarterback as Trevor Harris returned from his knee injury didn't slow Jackson down, and the 29-year-old extended his TD streak to a remarkable four games. He's already tied his previous career high with five scores on the season and Jackson is on pace to match his other numbers from his breakout 2015, when he caught 84 passes for 1036 yards. Despite being third in the Redblacks' pecking order at receiver behind Chris Williams and Greg Ellingson, Jackson remains consistently productive.

August 19, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson totaled 120 yards and a touchdown on seven catches in Friday's 43-19 loss to the Als.

Jackson was somewhat fortunate in hauling in his third touchdown in as many weeks, catching a tipped Hail Mary heave off the hands of teammate Greg Ellingson right before the end of the first half. It was the 29-year-old's first 100-yard performance of the season, while the seven receptions equaled the season-best figure he'd initially tallied in Week 1 versus the Eskimos. Although he's behind the pace he maintained last season while totaling a career-best 84 receptions for 1036 yards, Jackson is nevertheless serving as an important complementary piece in Ottawa's normally high-octane passing attack.

August 7, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson totaled 50 yards and a touchdown on three receptions in Saturday's 23-20 victory over the Eskimos.

The veteran capped off a second-quarter drive with a 20-yard touchdown, the game's first score overall. Jackson has at least 50 yards receiving and a touchdown in each of the last two games, continuing to serve an important complementary role in the Redblacks passing game alongside stalwarts Chris Williams and Greg Ellingson.

August 1, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson totaled 55 yards and a touchdown on five catches in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Argos.

The 29-year-old hauled in his first touchdown since Week 2, and second of the year overall. Jackson has been a reliable target for whomever has been behind center for Ottawa this season, catching at least four passes in all but one contest. He's amassed 306 yards on 29 catches through the first six games, keeping him on pace to potentially surpass the career-best 84 receptions and 1036 yards he managed in 2015 over 18 contests.

July 23, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson totaled 49 yards on five catches and gained seven yards on his sole rush in Friday's 30-29 loss to the Roughriders.

The 29-year-old matched Brad Sinopoli for the most receptions on the Redblacks, and his yardage total ranked him behind only Sinopoli for the night. Jackson has been steady if unspectacular this season, totaling at least four catches in four of Ottawa's first five games while contributing a touchdown, but averaging just a modest 10.4 yards per grab.

July 14, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson caught six passes for 70 yards in Wednesday's win over the Argos.

After a couple of quiet performances, he once again played a more prominent role in Ottawa's passing game as Toronto's secondary focused on shutting down Chris Williams. Jackson is at best Trevor Harris' third option behind Williams and Greg Ellingson though, so expect his production to remain inconsistent on a week-to-week basis.

June 26, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jackson notched seven receptions for 79 yards in Saturday's 45-37 overtime victory over the Eskimos, while also hauling in a two-point conversion.

The 29-year-old put in some solid work in the short-to-intermediate passing game, a trait that's been his hallmark the last two seasons. Jackson was outstanding as a sure-handed option in 2015 while amassing 1036 yards on 12.3 yards per reception, and appears set to perform as a highly effective complement to speedy Chris Williams in the Redblacks attack once again in 2016.
