Owens has signed a two-year deal with the Roughriders, reports.

Owens made 58 receptions for 808 yards last season for the Tigers-Cats before breaking his foot in mid-September. The 35-year-old set the CFL record for all-purpose yards in a season in 2012. It remains to be seen how much he has left, but the Riders are banking on him being healthy and contributing.

Owens (foot) will miss the remainder of the season, Drew Edwards of 3DownNation reports.

The 34-year-old broke his foot during Hamilton's victory over the Alouettes in mid-September and was forced to undergo surgery to repair the damage. In Owens' absence, Junior Collins, John Chiles, and Mike Jones have seen and could continue to see increased playing time.

Owens may be able to return to action before the season ends, but a target date has not been released. Junior Collins, John Chiles, and Mike Jones are candidates to see a boost in playing time in Owens' absence.

Owens (foot) will not play in Saturday's game against the Roughriders and could miss further action, the Hamilton Spectator reports.

Owens injured his foot in last week's victory over the Alouettes; and while head coach Kent Austin would not provide any sort of return timetable, the setback will cost Owens one game, and possibly more. Junior Collins or John Chiles will likely take Owens' place in the lineup until he is ready to get back on the field.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Owens injured his foot in the third quarter of Friday's win over the Alouettes and did not return, The Hamilton Spectator reports.

He caught two passes for 48 yards before exiting, including a 42-yard grab on third-and-1 in the second quarter that helped set up Hamilton's only TD of the night. As yet there's no word on how serious Owens' injury is, so consider him questionable for next Saturday's game in Saskatchewan.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Owens caught a team-high seven passes for 101 yards in Sunday's loss to the Argos.

He came up big against his former team once again -- about a third of Owens' production on the season (20 of 56 catches, 231 of 760 yards and two of five TDs) has come in three games against the Argos. He'll face a potentially less generous foe in the Alouettes on Friday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Owens caught six passes for 63 yards and a touchdown in Monday's win over the Argos.

In two games this year against his former club, Owens now has 12 catches for 130 yards and two scores, so don't be surprised if he goes off again Sunday in a rematch back in Toronto.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Owens totaled 58 yards and two touchdowns on four catches in Saturday's 53-7 victory over the Roughriders.

The veteran slotback continues to produce despite a passing game that spreads the wealth around. Owens has four catches apiece in each of his last three games, and the two scores Saturday were his first since Week 3 versus the Blue Bombers. He's established himself as a highly dependable presence in the 2016 Ti-Cats passing attack regardless of who's behind center.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Owens amassed 95 yards on four receptions in Saturday's 45-38 loss to the Lions.

The 34-year-old was one of the Zach Collaros' top targets on the night, managing a season-high 95 yards in the process. Owens had an impressive 35-yard grab among his four catches, with the only blemish perhaps being that he was unable to get into the end zone. The veteran has already served as one of the Ti-Cats' most reliable wideouts on the season-- totaling no less than four catches in any game-- and could be in line for a boost in production with the return of Collaros to the lineup.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Owens collected 45 yards on four catches in Wednesday's 37-11 loss to the Blue Bombers.

The veteran slotback was able to contribute in a supplementary role during a game in which Jeremiah Masoli was forced to air the ball out 46 times due to a sizable deficit. Owens continues to be a solid if not spectacular option in the Ti-Cats' passing attack, and like his other fellow receivers, may see a boost in production with the return of quarterback Zach Collaros (knee) in Week 8.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Owens caught five passes for 52 yards in Friday's win over the Alouettes.

The veteran slotback has had a solid start to his Tiger-Cats career and Owens now has 22 catches for 280 yards and two TDs through four games. Zach Collaros (knee) is close to returning to action at quarterback however, which could help boost the numbers of Owens and the rest of Hamilton's receiving corps.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Owens registered a game-high 92 yards and a touchdown on five receptions in Thursday's 28-24 loss to the Blue Bombers.

The ageless veteran continues to thrive in 2016, with Thursday's touchdown representing his second end-zone visit over the season's first three games. Owens now has 17 receptions for 228 yards in the first three weeks, serving as one of Jeremiah Masoli's most trusted targets. The 34-year-old showed plenty of speed on his 36-yard score, and looks primed for a resurgent campaign after playing in just 13 games in 2015.

July 2, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Owens caught six passes for 69 yards in Friday's loss to the Lions.

He and Luke Tasker posted nearly identical lines, with Tasker catching one more pass for one more yard on the night. The Tiger-Cats' offense was uncharacteristically quiet Friday, limiting Owens' production, but don't expect that to be the case next week when they host the Blue Bombers.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Owens caught six passes for 67 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 42-20 win over the Argos.

The long-time Argo left Toronto as a free agent in the offseason but still got to play in the team's first-ever game at BMO Field on Thursday, albeit in a visitor's uniform. The 34-year-old Owens averaged 91 catches for 1099 yards and five TDs between 2012-2014 for the Argos and if he can stay healthy, he could come close to that kind of production once again in the Tiger-Cats' high-powered passing game.

June 18, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Owens caught five passes for 98 yards and a touchdown in Friday's preseason win over the Redblacks.

The long-time Argo switched uniforms this offseason following a down 2015 campaign, but after hauling in at least 900 receiving yards a season between 2012 and 2014, Owens seems poised for a bounce-back in a Tiger-Cat offense that led the CFL in passing yards and TDs last year.
